writing

since 2014, i’ve been mongering correct opinions about culture and technology to general interest publications (e.g. the atlantic, the washington post, vice, variety, the outline, etc.) and gaming enthusiast ones (kotaku, polygon, waypoint, etc.). i’ve twice been shortlisted for the knickerbocker award for video game journalism.

an archive of all my popular writing (300+ articles) is available on request.

in 2019, i co-wrote a book with tyler “ninja” blevins that was published by random house. the verge called it a “dispatch from gamer mount olympus,” which was pretty cool.

as a hobby, i also work with influencing agencies like loaded and faze clan to create short-form video content around gaming celebrities.
